PDX Live: virtual performances and conversations with local artists

Back in April 2020, we were living in unprecedented times. A pandemic was just beginning to hit the United States, and uncertainty was felt by everyone. Things slowed down at PDX as people stayed home to keep hospitals and frontline workers safe.

The airport looked, felt and sounded a little different. The whimsical sounds of music weren’t ringing out in the terminal as they normally do. That’s why we launched #PDXLive to bring PDX sounds straight to your desktop, laptop or mobile device, no matter where you are.

Throughout the spring and summer, travelers from all over the world joined PDX on social media to enjoy live virtual performances from our volunteer musicians and go behind-the-scenes with local artists whose work you can find at PDX through our Art program.

Some of our concessions partners were inspired and joined the fun over the winter holidays — hosting happy hours with wine tips, for example. Scroll down to see a selection of these performances, conversations and happy hour events.
